Stein’s Taphouse is a distinctive bar and nightlife destination at 28 Tanunda Rd, Nuriootpa, in South Australia’s Barossa Valley. Built around the experience, it combines a laid-back atmosphere with the flavours of a modern-day speakeasy, making it an inviting place for casual drinks, relaxed gatherings and memorable nights out.
The drinks list features what Stein’s Taphouse describes as the largest selection of craft beer and whisky in South Australia, alongside micro-distilled Australian spirits and liqueurs and a range of boutique Australian wines. Guests can also enjoy cocktails, happy-hour drinks, beer, dancing and food at the bar.
Food is a central part of the Stein’s Taphouse experience, with a burger-focused menu prepared fresh and in-house. The kitchen is open six days for lunch, as well as for dinner on Monday, Friday and Saturday nights.
With outdoor seating, two large verandas and plenty of indoor nooks, the venue offers comfortable options across the seasons. Stein’s Taphouse is child and dog friendly, and customers can settle in for bar games, live music on Friday nights, live performances, Sunday-afternoon music and sport. Delivery and dine-in are available, and reservations are accepted.

5 years agoAmazing pub with 15 (14 when we were there) beer taps on the wall for you to try and an assortment of local beers in the fridge as well to ward off the summer heat. We tried quite a lot of the tap beers for an afternoon bevy and then came back the next day for lunch and more drinks. If you're game, they also have a whisky flight with over 50 Australian whisky for you to try. Definitely a place to come back to for a visit or two (or three or four...)

3 years agoGreat food The servings were quite generous, the flavour of the food was delicious. I really loved the American style pub ambience. The beer selection is all local which is good and bad in a way. A larger selection will not be a bad thing. I would definitely visit again when I am in town.

3 years agoGreat selection of Australian whiskies and craft beers. The owners were really knowledgeable and provided some great recommendations for us to sample. Had lunch here in the pet friendly courtyard, will definitely be back to try more of their meals and brews.

2 years agoLove Luke and the team at Stein’s. Couldn’t ask for a better local. Great company, dog friendly and good honest pub food that’s not trying to be anything else except super tasty!! Great live bands that truly support local, great beers and a good welcoming atmosphere.

3 years agoVery nice pub feel with loads of good beer on tap and good staff. Pool table was in good condition and the atmosphere was great. The lunch special was very good value. The Aussie burger didn't have much flavour or enough sauce but for the price point I was still happy.
